A delay in a $150 million, 3 year Phase III trial is effectively a million dollars of risk a week. One parameter that can be controlled is designing trials with realistic recruitment rates, to manage expectations. This session will present findings from an analysis of over 2,000 completed Phase III trials, with recruitment rates, trial and company types. Also discussed are predicted versus actual recruitment rates, which can serve as methods to enhance recruitment expectations in large, pivotal trials
