Amy Atwood is a communications leader with nearly 30 years of experience in all facets of corporate communications – as well as experience as a cancer patient and a caregiver. As the Vice President of U.S. and Global Corporate Communications for Takeda, Amy leads a talented team of communications professionals focused on global issues and crisis communications, reputation, media relations, and U.S. employee communications, engagement and executive communications. Since joining Takeda in 2015, she’s also been Vice President of U.S. Communications and Philanthropy, Head of Communications for Global Vaccines and Director of Global Oncology Public Relations. She’s also held communications and leadership roles with Sanofi Oncology, Genzyme and National Grid.

Amy is co-Executive Sponsor of Ignite, Takeda’s multigenerational Resource Group, as well former co-lead for Takeda’s Global Gender Parity Network. She is a member of HBA, is a frequent judge for communications awards and was on the Executive Committee for PRSA Health Academy. She serves on the Board of Directors for the West End House Boys and Girls Club, on the Board of Advisors for Life Science Cares and is an avid volunteer/supporter of numerous other charitable organizations, including NORD’s Running for Rare Team and WriteBoston.
