Youssef Idelcaid

Bio:

Youssef Idelcaid is the Head of the AI Research Center at Gilead Sciences, where he leads the AI strategy and the deployment of transformative technologies across the drug development lifecycle. His career spans multiple industries—including biotech (Genentech), cosmetics (L’Oréal), fashion (Levi’s), and the food industry (Danone)—giving him a unique cross-sector perspective on the power of AI to drive innovation in complex, regulated environments. Youssef holds an engineering degree in computational and applied mathematics from École Polytechnique Universitaire de Lyon. He is passionate about designing systems that combine science, technology, and strategy to improve outcomes for patients and society.
