Bio:

Wei Shao, Ph.D. is currently Director of Business Development and Strategy at Alexion, AstraZeneca Rare Disease. He leads end-to-end process from sourcing to transacting strategic partnerships and drives BD strategy across rare disease therapeutic areas. He had deep experiences across BD and investment in the global biotech innovation ecosystem, having previously served as a Vice President at Octagon Capital Advisors, a New York-based investment firm that focuses on both public and private biotech companies across US and China. He holds Ph.D. from Weill Cornell Medicine and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
