Bio:

Sara Riordan, M.S., CGC, is the Vice President of Strategy at Genome Medical. In this role, Sara develops, plans and implements long-term, impactful strategies that advance the goals and growth of the company and further the adoption of Genome Medical’s genetic services and solutions. Previously, Sara served as the Vice President of Clinical and Research Programs at Unified Patient Network, a precision health ecosystem designed to facilitate clinical and research collaboration between health systems, patients and biopharma. Sara has held previous roles at leading biotechnology and precision oncology diagnostics firms such as Thermo Fisher Scientific, Life Technologies, and Oncocyte. As a consultant and entrepreneur, Sara has also worked with many early-stage companies in developing and commercializing genomic tests and applications. Sara served as the 2021 President of the National Society of Genetic Counselors, where she focused on growing a diverse workforce, advocating for equitable access to genetic counselor services, and leading the development of the organization's 2022-2024 strategic plan. Sara received her Masters in Genetic Counseling from the University of Arizona and completed a Masters in Human Genetics at the University of California, Los Angeles.
