Nell Meosky Luo
Founder & CEO
Bio:
Nell Meosky Luo is the Founder & CEO of Folia Health, a patient-driven health company pioneering a new way to capture and use home-reported outcomes for precision care and research.
Nell’s path to founding Folia was shaped by her family’s experience: her younger brother has CVID, an immunodeficiency, and over two decades her mother became an expert in his condition, keeping meticulous notes that guided his care. During her studies in public health at Yale, Nell realized that the kind of data she was searching for to inform better clinical decisions already existed—just not in the medical record, but in the lived experiences and observations of patients and families. Folia was created to make that invisible data visible, actionable, and transformative for both care and research.
Since launching Folia, Nell has been recognized as the first Massachusetts Women in Digital Health Award recipient (2018), appointed to the governor’s Digital Health Council Working Group and Independent Steering Committee (2019), and served on the Mass General Brigham COVID-19 Task Force. She has been featured as a speaker at more than a dozen conferences, including the NORD Research Summit, Reuters Pharma & Patient, and the DIA Global Annual Meeting. Before founding Folia, she was a management consultant at Oliver Wyman, focusing on strategic transformation across healthcare and beyond. She holds a bachelor’s degree in History of Science & Medicine, and Public Health from Yale, graduating cum laude and with Distinction.
