Bio:

Narimon Honarpour, M.D., Ph.D., is Senior Vice President and Head of Global Development at Amgen. Global Development at Amgen is a broad organization responsible for clinical trial execution, study design and biostatistics, observational research, and clinical pharmacology. Phase 1 through Phase 4 therapeutic area activities including General Medicine, Inflammation and Rare Diseases also operate within Global Development.

Since joining Amgen in 2011, Narimon has held diverse roles across therapeutic areas. In 2019, he was appointed Head of Translational Medicine, where his leadership responsibilities included early development, clinical biomarker and diagnostics, clinical pharmacology and clinical immunology. Narimon has also served as Global Development Head for General Medicine and JAPAC Development.

Prior to joining Amgen, Narimon was part of the clinical faculty at UCLA Division of Cardiology in Los Angeles, California. He received his MD and PhD from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas and his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas, Austin.
