Melissa Moody

Bio:

Melissa Moody brings expertise across corporate communications as a strategic leader, connector and collaborator with experience in public relations, communications and media relations. As Director of Global Media Relations at Merck, she led the global media relations strategy. As Director, Employee and Executive Communications, she led the creation of the executive communications function, developing and executing the executive communications strategy across the enterprise and managing relationships with key external and internal stakeholders. Now, leading Issues and Crisis Communications, she will be instrumental in building out a sustainable, collaborative and strategic function to proactively manage issues and crises communications across the company.

Before joining Merck, Melissa worked in media and public relations at Penn Medicine, University of Pennsylvania Health System, where she promoted the research and innovation of the institution through various media channels and platforms. She also has extensive experience in higher education and nonprofit sectors. She holds a B.S. from the University of Louisville.
