Kelli Wright
Director, Patient Advocacy
Bio:
As the Director of Patient Advocacy for Day One Biopharmaceuticals, Kelli Wright is honored work with patient communities, people living with childhood cancer, caregivers, and non-profit foundations to better understand what it’s like to live with their disease.
With experience and a focus on rare diseases and pediatric oncology, Kelli is passionate about including the patient & caregiver experience into all areas of drug development.
Patient Advocacy is the connecter between patients and families and the teams within Day One. It’s critical to include the patient voice in drug development efforts as the company makes drug development and business decisions. What we do every day will ultimately and directly impact the disease communities we serve.
With a 15+ year non-profit career, Kelli has a deep understanding of the patient needs and experiences. Kelli was the National Director of Strategic Initiatives for CureSearch for Children’s Cancer, driving the strategic program of CureSearch by staying in tune with the barriers in drug development. Kelli learned from innovators in the industry, academic and regulatory space, as well as patients and disease-foundations, to address obstacles and develop action plans to close the communication gaps and reduce duplication of efforts.
Kelli resides in South Carolina with her family. She is passionate about nutrition and enjoys hunting for shark’s teeth on the weekends.
