Bio:
Jade King is Vice President of US Communications at GSK, where she is accountable for external and internal communications for the US commercial business.
Known for her creativity, Jade excels at finding innovative and bold ways to leverage communications to drive strategy, performance and, most importantly, culture. She thrives on building high-performing and agile teams that collaborate and learn from each other to achieve exceptional results.
A natural connector of ideas and people, Jade finds inspiration in seeing how these connections come to life to help deliver on GSK’s purpose to unite science, technology and talent to get ahead of disease.
Jade joined GSK in 2007 and has held increasingly strategic roles within the organization, both in the US and Belgium. Her previous leadership roles include Head of Internal and External Communications for US Vaccines, Head of Internal Communications for US GSK and Head of Internal Communications for Global Vaccines. She has also led communication efforts supporting GSK’s respiratory portfolio and employee engagement.
Jade is an active member of GSK’s US Country Executive Board, US Commercial Leadership Team and serves on the Board of GSK’s US Corporate Contributions Committee. Before joining GSK, she worked at Voith Paper Fabrics as part of the global communications team for the German-based paper machine manufacturer. She began her career as a Public Information Officer for the North Carolina Department of Commerce, honing her skills of communications and speechwriting while traveling the state in support of the (then) Secretary of Commerce. Jade holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from North Carolina State University.
Outside of work, Jade lives in Wake Forest, NC, with her husband Aaron, a chef, their two daughters, Georgia (12) and Harley (9), and their two Australian Shepherds, Burger and Bobbi. She is a passionate artist and expresses her creativity through photography, drawing, painting and creative writing.
