Bio:
Hirut Kollech holds a PhD in Computational Modeling & Simulation from the University of Pittsburgh, where she utilized medical imaging and applied advanced modeling and optimization techniques to study the mechanical behavior of biological tissues. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship at Johnson & Johnson, where she developed end-to-end data pipelines for surgical device modules and led multimodal data integration efforts, translating analytical results into strategic recommendations for cross-functional teams.
Hirut is passionate about leveraging healthcare data to generate actionable insights that improve patient outcomes and streamline development processes. In her current role as a Senior Manager, Data Scientist at Gilead Sciences, she is part of the AI Research Center Applied Sciences team, supporting strategic Biomarkers and Clinical Pharmacology initiatives and advancing Gilead’s mission through data‑driven science.
