Diana Gallagher, MD

Bio:

Diana Gallagher currently serves as the Head of Alzheimer’s and Dementia Development Unit and the MS and Immunology Development Unit at Biogen. She is a member of the Development Leadership Team, R&D Governance, and ad hoc Business Development Committees. In her 10 years at Biogen, she has worked across discovery and clinical development on a range of therapeutics areas including early, late stage, and post marketed programs. Working alongside colleagues in R&D, BD, Corporate Strategy, Finance and Legal, she led the External Innovation Team which brought >40 innovations into the portfolio over 4 years. Prior to Biogen, she worked in Early Clinical Development at Merck on oral, IV, and inhaled products across a range of clinical indications. Before working in industry, She completed an MD at Johns Hopkins, a Masters in Medical Sciences at Harvard Medical School, along with Internal Medicine residency and Pulmonary and Critical Care fellowship at the Harvard hospitals. In addition to clinical time as an ICU physician, her research was focused on endothelial barrier dysfunction.
