Catherine Cheung, MS, PMP, has over 20 years of experience in clinical development operations, working across oncology and rare disease programs from early-phase through late development at global biopharma organizations and biotech start-up. She is currently Director of Clinical Operations at Gilead Sciences, serving as the clinical operations lead for early oncology programs and ensuring alignment across cross-functional teams to support program strategy and execution. Catherine champions the use of technology and analytics-driven approaches to improve how trials are planned and delivered. She has worked with a range of digital tools and simulations to enhance trial design, feasibility, and operational efficiency, and has observed first-hand the potential of emerging AI/ML capabilities to shape the future of clinical research. She brings a strategic operational perspective to translating emerging concepts into frameworks that help organizations move beyond pilots and adopt innovative approaches at scale, responsibly.
