Anup brings over 20 years of medical and strategic leadership to Syneos Health, following a distinguished 15-year career at Novo Nordisk where he most recently served as Senior Medical Director and Head of US Mergers and Acquisition Scientific Advisory. Since joining Novo Nordisk in 2011 as an Endocrine Scientific Director, he advanced through several pivotal roles, including Director of Clinical Strategy and National Director of the Regional Medical Scientist team, where he spearheaded therapeutic expansions into Cardiology and Nephrology.
His leadership also included heading early asset incubation for the Pipeline Team, leading the Neuro Health Team, and serving as the US Medical Lead for Cell Therapy Programs. Throughout his tenure, Anup remained committed to professional development, earning an MBA in Healthcare from Florida International University and completing specialized executive programs at MIT (Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare), Stanford (Genomics and Genetics), and Harvard Business School (M&A Strategy).
